Default Moon - lightning conjunction :-)

Last night while the Harvest Moon was still just below
treetop level, a big cloud bank that had rolled over us to
the east suddenly kicked up a huge amount of lightning
inside the clouds. After walking to a location where I
could see both moon and storm between the trees, I was
very impressed. The lightning illuminated the cloudbank
from the inside nearly continuously, making it look like
a neon sign in the sky immediately adjacent to, and the
same brilliance as, the full moon. The effect lasted for
many minutes until the storm blew further to the east and
thus below the moon's altitude and below the treeline.

Optical binaries don't have to be extra-solar system :-)
