Images of the storm taken by the Station's crew and NASA satellites also will be available on the Internet at: http://www.nasa.gov/hurricane Tropical Storm Ophelia is churning in the Atlantic Ocean off the southeast coast of the United States. Cameras mounted outside the 200-ton orbiting laboratory captured video of Ophelia over the weekend from an altitude of 220 miles. The Station will continue to pass over the eastern U.S. during the next several days, so additional images and video may be available. For continental North America, NASA TV is carried on an MPEG-2 digital signal accessed via satellite AMC-6, at 72 degrees west longitude, transponder 17C, 4040 MHz, vertical polarization. Beginning October 1, it will be available in Alaska and Hawaii on an MPEG-2 digital signal accessed via satellite AMC-7, transponder 18C, 137 degrees west longitude, 4060 MHz, vertical polarization. A Digital Video Broadcast compliant Integrated Receiver Decoder is required for reception.
