Maria is the fifth hurricane "so far" Today it reached a wind speed of
74 mph,and that is the right speed to be called a hurricane. Its in the warm water about 650 miles southeast of Bermuda.,and moving at 16 mph. My prediction it will miss Bermuda. Maria is the 13th tropical storm so far this season, and best to keep in mind in a normal season hurricanes end Nov. 30. Easy theory is as long as the waters stay warm enough the season could go into Dec.20th. Right now on Clearwater beach(55 miles south of me) Red Tide is hitting hard This is a very strong strain of algae, and is killing all animals on the coast. My favorite animal the loggerhead turtles(good natured slobs) weighing in at 200 lb are washed in and dying. Beert |
