I did, and a couple of weeks back I received, in the post, all the way from
Sri Lanka, a handwritten receipt for my £10 and a hand-signed 'thank you'
letter from the charity presumably handling this particular fund. They
didn't have my home address but sent it to me at 'University of Sussex, UK'
because that's all the info that would have been on the cheque. I was quite
chuffed that they went to all that effort!

Yes, I did and, like you, I was delighted to get the thank you letter.

The book is quite interesting as well.
