Public Invited to View Shuttle Landing at Glenn's Visitor Center

The public and media are invited to view the scheduled landing of Space
Shuttle Discovery (STS-114) on Monday, August 8, at 4:46 a.m. at the NASA
Glenn Research Center's Visitor Center.

Doors to the Visitor Center will open at 4 a.m. for landing. Following the
landing, visitors will be able to view past mission day highlights. In
addition, all of the Visitor Center's regular exhibits and historic
artifacts will be on display. Regular exhibits include a moon rock, an
original Apollo Command Module, a flight simulator and over 6,000 square
feet of interactive exhibits on air and space travel.

Space Shuttle Discovery lifted off Tuesday, July 26 from NASA's Kennedy
Space Center, Fla. at 10:39 a.m. EDT. During their 13-day mission to the
International Space Station, Commander Eileen Collins and the six-member
crew of Discovery tested new techniques and equipment designed to make
Shuttles safer, including research contributions and experiments developed
at Glenn. They also delivered supplies and made repairs to the Space
Station.

Admission to the Visitor Center is free and is wheelchair accessible.

Access to the Glenn Visitor Center is limited to U.S. citizens. All adult
visitors must present government-issued photo identification upon entering
the Center's main gate. All vehicles are subject to inspection.
