Hm. Isn't this rather demeaning? I'd be embarrassed to be "Caucasian Engineer
of the year" as obviously I'm not good enough to be "Engineer of the year"

His capsule with an adobe heatshield worked great until it came to
splashdown.

would you still be if caucasians (of which hispanics are really a subset)
were relatively few in engineering and there was commonplace prejudice
against them ?

"Engineer of the year"? Wouldn't that be demeaning? Wouldn't that indicate
that the title bearer isn't good enough to be "person of the year"?

Who is not entitled to be engineer of anything,
maybe I can proclaim myself to be the man of my house. :-)

I had always thought you were. You seem to know some math and science.

I do know some math. ;-) I taught it in university for 10 years to
future engineers.

Sander Vesik made the phosphor on my

If you got your engineering degree out of a box of Cracker Jacks, you'd be
happy to get any award. Even a racially motived one.
