.....Anyone got a link to a hi-res version of this shot, preferably no
smaller than 1024x768? http://i.cnn.net/cnn/2003/WEATHER/09...nasa.curve.jpg ....One of the better from-orbit hurricane shots I can recall, and oddly *very* similar to one I'd drawn on a cromix graphic terminal some 15 years ago for KTBC's graphics department! It was really impressive how Hollywood was able to get this hurricane into position as a tie-in for the DVD release of "Marooned"! This even beats the Ben/J-Lo wedding scam. Harold Hecuba |

The Astronomy Picture of the Day on Tuesday 9/16 had a Terra satellite
image of the hurricane and clicking on the image got a high resolution version of the image. Here's the link to the hi res version: http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ima..._terra_big.jpg It is quite spectacular! Jim. Nice picture, FTR, the hurricane looked a lot worst from inside. For all my
friends out there we survived, including a boat (wife, 4 month old, 7 year old, and dog)trip up our street at 1400 EDT, when the waves reached the house (Note the house is unlivable). Finally got power yesterday on our street. We're rebuilding, so I probdon't be around the newsgroup a lot. v/r Ward -- Ward C.
