Default Apollo 13 Mission Plan?

I know that when Apollo 13 aborted, A14's landing site was changed to
the intended Fra Mauro. But was 14's entire mission a "do-over"? Were
Lovell and Haise supposed to go to Cone Crater, for instance? I can see
how the basic mission was a copy; but some details must have have been
changed, 13 didn't have a MET (Mobile Equiptment Transport, the
"rickshaw"), did it?

According to:

"Apollo 13: Lunar exploration experiments and photography summary" -
Feb 1, 1970
http://ntrs.nasa.gov/archive/nasa/ca...1977075651.pdf

"Apollo 13 Press Kit" - April 2, 1970
http://www.hq.nasa.gov/office/pao/Hi...a13prskit.html

On page 38 of the press kit, the lunar surface EVA-2 traverse map shows
a path
to and from Cone crater, so Lovell and Haise were scheduled to go
there.

Apollo 13 did not have a MET. They had a hand held tool carrier (see
page 61 of the Apollo 13: Lunar exploration experiments and photography
summary).

Apollo 13 did have a Lunar Surface Drill for the ALSEP Heat Flow
experiment. It wasn't carried again until Apollo 15.

Get ahold of a great book by David Shayler called Apollo: The Lost and Forgotten Missions. You'll find great details of the Apollo 13 and the Apollo 1 mission (Grissom, White and Chafee) there.
