But if you want info about Deep Impact, I slapped-
together a quickie web page pointing to the primary
URLs at the University of Maryland and the mirrored
site at NASA and included some data (noting the
"views" are with respect to my backyard site in
Silicon Valley):

I dunno, picture 41/2 tons of TNT going off. Question is, would the flash
of the explosion be visible given that
the comet is well lit already. I would think that the flash at least will
be visible. Whether or not the
explosion will stimulate the comet to spew more and brighten significantly
is a toss up. I betcha it will.
