Default The ISS is not worthless!!!

About 10 years ago, Ontario Hydro (the largest
employer in the province of Ontario Canada, with
almost 60,000 workers) decide that maybe they were
"overmanned" since they were running a debt like
a Third-World nation. So, they started looking at what
people were doing at the utility and they started getting
rid of the dead wood. Many of the technicians were earning
upwards of $70,000/yr for doing basically nothing.
So, once that started, all of a sudden, hydro inspectors were
out making calls on business, linesmen were seen more often, etc.
Seems that they decided to try to convince management that they
were needed after all. Nice show.
Now, the President and some people within NASA have stated that
the ISS may be "backburnered" in order to make fiscal room for
the next generation of space vehicle. So what happens?
All of a sudden were seeing stories about how "valuable" the work
being done on ISS is.
Here's an example;
