Selene Rising

Dear Friends,

I have been after a particular photo rising against the Temple of
Poseidon in southern Greece for 15 months. It all came together this
evening when I managed to get the proper balance in the lighting between
the rising moon and the archaelogical grounds as well as the proper
azimuth and altitude for me to position myself so as to have the right
perspective and orientation.

I am not sure which of the three I like the most but I would love to
hear your favourite choice:

They're all great, but I vote for the third one.

You don't like to make these things tough, do you???

I had a really tough time making ANY choice. They are all great!

Then I told myself, in the end, there can be only one (have you heard THAT
one before?)

But even then, I had a tough time between one and three...

I'm with that kid, Rod. They're ALL damned good!!!

Thanks Anthony for sharing these with us. FWIW, my favorite is the third one
also. The illumination of the pillars to the far right and the shadows cast
by the ones on the left on the lower part of them, all against the black sky
and brilliant moon is most dramatic.

I like the first better, because of the brighter sky. It makes the picture
more artistic.

I prefer the first shot, but the others are also excellent. I think I'll
have to return to Sounion sometime soon - it's been a long time since I
last visited.

Would it be possible for you to make the pictures available in higher
resolution for us to use as background pictures or screen savers?
