Anyone use LunarPhase Pro software from the Nightsky observer.com website -
would welcome comments from users before I purchase the software. Regards Richard |

It's an old review, and LPP has upgraded since then, but you can read a
review of LPP and VMA both at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/lunar-...g/message/1137 Clear Skies Chuck Taylor Do you observe the moon? Great - the libration animation is a joy to behold and it complements virtual moon atlas wonderfully - each does different things well. I bought a download copy a few days ago and it looks OK. Maybe not quite as big a step up from Virtual Lunar Atlas as I thought but still has some useful features. Of particular use is the feature showing you when sunrise and sunset on a particular feature is and when any particular illumination conditions will be repeated.

I prefer Virtual for use at the scope as a map, and LPP for earlier in the
day, planning out what I want to look at (or earlier in the month or even in the year, looking for favorable observing times for different features). Clear Skies Chuck Taylor Do you observe the moon?
