ANN: York AS Public "Star Party" Sat 19-Mar-2005

Dear All,

The York Astronomical Society shall be holding a Public Star Party on
Saturday 19th March 2005, at Crayke Sports Club, Easingwold Road,
Crayke. The event starts at 5pm and finishes approx. 10pm

Members of the society will be bringing telescopes with them and the
public will have the opportunity to make use of them, under expert
guidance. Learn more about the stars and planets and how to recognize
them with the naked eye. The Moon, Saturn and Jupiter should be visible
and early birds may even catch a glimpse of Mercury too!

Crayke Sports Club are supporting this event and will be selling
refreshments. In the event of inclement weather, displays and
demonstrations will be available indoors. Warm clothing is advised,
admission is FREE and all ages are welcome.
