Spambots /could/ defeat most of the systems people use but I don't know that
people take the effort to program 'intelligent' spambots.

It doesn't really matter what change you make as long as it's obvious to the
human eye. As a matter of politeness also add a .invalid to the end as
otherwise any spam sent to your 'anti-spam' address will take up time &
processing power from the mail servers involved and (worst case) will
coincidently be somebody's _real_ email address.

So, lid for example.

Also be sure to include a .sig stating that your email is spamtrapped
e.g.

Joe Hecht. anti-spam email - remove the invalid and spammy section.

because people will often not see your email if they just click 'reply' and 'send'.
