Default Brown Dwarfs

Bert wrote:

These are bodies that are not massive enough to become a star. That

Is Jupiter a brown dwarf? Are there more brown dwarfs in our galaxy
than
medium mass stars(like our sun?) More brown than white dwarfs?.
How
does one detect a brown dwarf? Do most stars have a brown dwarf in
orbit.? Lets think of their creation out of contracting gas cloud. The
cloud must create the pressure that gives the internal heat(yes) Can we
blame the cloud for not creating a star?(low density. Can we blame a
supernova going off to far away to seed this cloud with heavy
particles(dust),and thus it does not have enough of the right stuff
needed to create a sun. As the universe gets older are these clouds
thinning out so that only brown dwarfs are possible. My thinking has
always been supernovas were very plentiful about 8 billion years
ago(earlier spacetime) Well I was going to put
this in todays "What if" but Double-A,and Twitty have trouble with that
post. How is this working out for you guys? PS I could also think
in
the other direction, and say brown dwarfs are created in a spacetime
when
there was no such elements as nitrogen, carbon, silicon,or iron to add to
these large hydrogen clouds. When I think in both directions at the
same
time my head spins like a dog trying to catch his own tail. To slow the
spin I put a can of beer in each hand, and hold my arms out as far as
possible. See its working Wish the game would start already

What did you do, Bert. This post hasn't shown up in the Google
newsreader at all! I had to copy it over from Outlook and post it as a
new subject. Maybe they heard you bad mouthing them!

Yes, holding those beer cans out at arms length should slow down the
spin. As long as you don't let them come close to your lips again,
your head will eventually stop spinning.

Hi double-A Well my team won,but you are going to laugh at this. I
watched the first half on the porch and the last half in bed. I fell
asleep during the last quarter(go figure) Last Thursday my wife fell and
called 911(in the hospital) and I was all alone. I don't like
being alone. I don't have anyone to bet on games with. I love to
gamble.Bookies are hard to find in central Florida. I had one about a
year ago,but now when I call his phone is not in use any more
To sum the Patriots up.They are team players. They all like each other.
No big ego to put down a member of the team.I'll go so far to say they
even like and respect the other teams(why not) Bert

Hi Bert,

Well don't feel alone, I hate to admit it, but I fell asleep in the
fourth quarter too. Can't say it was a boring game or anything, I
guess I'm just not getting enough sleep. Maybe it was because there
were no "wardrobe failures" at halftime this year to get my eyes wide
open. But I woke up in time to see the trophy presentation.

The Patriots proved they were the best team, so they deserve the
accolades. Actually I was rooting for the Steelers, but they were
eliminated two weeks ago.

Yesterday it was all a big deal, but in a couple months, I'll have a
hard time remembering who the champion was.

Hope your wife is OK.

It was the first time I had seen a game in full and although it takes a
while to adjust to it, the rules etc it was rather enjoyable. Good game.

And Bert have you considered opening an account with an online bookmaker
it's so much easier and instant, you can wait right up to the last
minute before betting.

The more you learn about the rules of the game, and get to know some of
the players and coaches, the more enjoyable it is. Of course I played
the game back in school, so that helps. But even some women are quite
knowledgeable of the rules and enjoy watching.

When you get so that you're able to second guess the coach's play
calling and clock management, then you will really enjoy it. Close
games are often won or lost on a coach's decision. Often coaches will
attempt to play just on the edge of the rules, and it's just a matter
of how the referees call it that makes all the difference. Each side
is always trying to guess what the other side is going to do next, and
each side is trying to do the unexpected.

In spite of all the grunting and hitting out on the field, it can be
thought of as a rather intellectual game, a game of great strategy.

Thanks Double-A I put that in my folder. I bet the lotto, but to me
that's not gambling. The probable chance of winning is to close to no
chance. I like the dogs. I have a system based on there are 8 dogs in
every race. I eliminate 3 and pull the rest (parlay) into a tri-fecter.
Biggest hit was $5,500,and on the next race $2,200 Double-A that does
not mean I'm + (ahead) but I only can remember when I win. Bert

I'm not gambling these days, but you bring back some memories. I
haven't been to the track in a while, but I think 9 dogs run in our
races here. I think the horses are running right now. Here the dogs
only run in the summer, and the horses run in the winter. I used to
have a system based on one of the handicappers in the newspaper. I
think I would bet some combination of his top picks, maybe a quinella
box. One year I actually came out ahead for the season! Yes, I kept
records.

I think what happened was that the handicapper got worse in following
years, and so the system stopped working. So I got discouraged and
stopped playing the doggies.

And yes Twitty, you can adopt a greyhound here too. I don't know
though if you can adopt a horse. The government however used to have a
program where you could adopt a wild mustang.
