Second Age; the Valar had quite enough of that crap and sphered the

I was going to say that! Anyway, what happened to Valinor's physical location?
Perhaps it became the planet Venus. Which means that when Bilbo, Frodo, Elrond
& company departed they were actually boarding a spaceship!

The names Firkon, Orthon, and Ramu from George Adamski's stuff actually
sound like some members of the Valar, don't they?
....and of course Burroughs' Venus was supposed to be covered in huge
forests, where Elves would be likely to be hanging out.
Of course if the Valar and Elves are on Venus; then Melkor must be
somewhere in the other direction...probably Mars...ah, here he is-
