Default The Great Wall of China

Dr. Ferdinand said the Chinese people were fond of the idea that the wall
could be seen from the moon, even though last year a Chinese astronaut
caused controversy by revealing on his return from space that he had not
been able to see the structure.

Jonathan Watts and Steven Morris, 'Only one-third of the Great Wall is still
standing', The Guardian Weekly, Thursday February 5 2004, Vol. 170/No. 7, p.
21.

Where do bizarre ideas like this spring from? You'd have better luck seeing
where the Australian Dingo fence is (different use of land on either side).

Martin
