According to the instructions, it's supposed to be possible
to obtain extra celestial objects plotted on the screen by simply adding a text file filled with coordinates named skyglobe.ext, but so far I haven't been able to get either the DOS or Windows program to respond. Any guidance? A web search yielded nothing beyond the original instructions which detail the above procedure, and the software company which authored Sky Globe has dissolved. |

H Subject: Sky Globe astro software custom objects file H Date: 21 Jan 2005 22:14:31 -0800 H H According to the instructions, it's supposed to be possible H to obtain extra celestial objects plotted on the screen by H simply adding a text file filled with coordinates named H skyglobe.ext, but so far I haven't been able to get either H the DOS or Windows program to respond. H H Any guidance? A web search yielded nothing beyond the original H instructions which detail the above procedure, and the software H company which authored Sky Globe has dissolved. The file has four fields, RA, decl, symbol, and title. The coords are in DEGREES and decimal. The symbol is a code as noted in the instructions. I'm writing this from memroy, but I do know that the instructions, in the rinted booklet, are pretty straightforward. I use this file once in a while for marking comets. --- þ RoseReader 2.52á P005004 ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Uncensored-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 100,000 Newsgroups ---= East/West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =--- |
