Default Beer Truck Incident

I remember seeing a news story on TV about a beer truck
which had been parked very close to one of the Shuttles,
a picture of which was used in an advertisement. There was
concern that a truck could have been allowed to get so close
to the Shuttle and perhaps even touch it. I think this was
about 10 years ago.

Doing Google searches of both web pages and newsgroup
traffic, I couldn't find any documentation of this incident.
(That seems unusual -- normally even the most trivial subject
produces loads of hits and sometimes entire web sites
devoted to it.)

Does anybody else remember this incident? Have a link
to more information about it? Which Shuttle was involved?

Remember it? I saw it being done.

Budweiser truck at Dryden, about when the Budweiser-sponsored land
vehicle was trying to break the land speed record. Anyway, the
Orbiter was in Shuttle Area A and the truck got parked near it and the
photo taken. I'm not even sure if the truck was inside the restricted
area, as the photo was taken with a very long lens.

It could be done much more easily with a couple of images and a good
computer technician using PhotoShop.

Any chance this was Columbia?

They did it easily enough just by driving the truck up and snapping
the photo.

Probably either Columbia or Enterprise, but don't bet your lunch money
on it.
