I took this on the 13th from about 01h00 to 01h15 using the Meade DSI in
FITS format. When combining the Blue Green and Red colour files I noticed that the Red file is considerably darker in the core than the blue and green files. I'm into this more for the beauty than the science but am still curious. Is the dark bit in the center of the red file indicative of the core? or some atrifact from the imaging process? 15 FTS images of 60s each were combined (average) and converted to JPG for the links below. I still have the FITS files. Machholz with all colours combined http://tinyurl.com/3szdb Machholz Red Only http://tinyurl.com/3leap Thoughts welcome? Regards Chris |
