The design formulas for the Lurie-Houghton itself may be found at

Yes, that's Rick Scott, who I know here in Phoenix, Arizona. I have
viewed through his Lurie-Houghton, and the views are incredible across
a very wide field. Of course, the design alone doesn't ensure great
images; they are only as good as the mirror. Rick had Mike Spooner
figure his mirror, which explains the high quality of the images.

According to Rick the beauty of the Lurie is that the surfaces are very
simple. I wonder why it isn't used commercially.
