Default SERIOUS POSSIBILITY OF A PEAK STAR PARTY

Hello there people..

last year I threw out some hooks to see if there would be any interest in a
Peak Star Party.

I had to conceed defeat last time... due to more urgent matters within the
astronomical group I am with + not knowing where to start )

This time I have been fishing for responces in other places first and the
outcome looks good.. already 20 people interested and I only asked
yesterday..

I have contacted a potential venue host which has very good facilities.. + a
bar for those looking for a daytime retreat ;O)

I am trying hard to organise this event for 11th - 13th March 2005...

More details will follow as I recieve information from other sources...

So then, the BIG question..... how many people on here would be interested
in attending such an event ???

I'd like to know more details too please...

On another matter... your website... why did you decide to put future
events in PDFs instead of plain HTML? I would have thought that you'd
have wanted to make the site as accessible as possible...

Thanks for the interest so far guys and girl )

I am in the process of building the website for the event...

As soon as I have a confirmed venue..I will post more news on there, and
post the URL later on here...

I hope more people will register their interest I have 30ish interested
parties already..

I hope this event can attract at least 50.. maybe more depending on what
space will be provided at the venue ..

Thanks again!!

I hope that I can find a venue around the Tissington region of
Derbyshire....
I have contacted one possible host and I have others lined up should this
fall flat... however, I hope this host says "yeah we'll do it!!" cos it
has good alround facilities and a BAR on site !! :O)

May I recommend the top of Bleaklow or Kinder Scout (both 3 km from the
nearest road) for the darkest skies. Getting there should be no problem
as they are on the Pennine Way ;-)
