I was out looking up at the stars a while ago in the SW part of the USA,
and at 9 PM CST out of the corner of my eye I saw a huge flaming object pass overhead going south-east. Probably saw it for less than a second. It seemed so big I thought it might crash, but when I looked over the fence there was nothing to be seen in the southern sky. Anybody else see it? |

Correction: I meant south-west, not south east. It was like a blob or globe, and flames were coming out of it in all directions, and the flames were larger than the object. |

YES! I was wondering if anyone else say it too. It appeared for maybe
2-4 seconds and was much larger than the normal shooting star. More like a fireball. I observed it from MA (east coast) traveling south, but was not sure if it was going east or west. When I saw it, I was waiting to hear an explosion, which never came. Distance from ground? Hard to say, but definitely less that about 20,000 feet, as I can view jets coming in and out of Logan at the same time of nite. Wish I had a video of it!! If you saw it in the last couple days, it was the booster from a Russian
supply craft sent up to resupply the ISS. They always seem to burn up over the U.S. .. anonymous@newserver wrote: YES! I was wondering if anyone else say it too.
