IF telescope fixed whats best RA and DEC?

I have been pondering having a telescope in a fixed position with a CCD
Camera on it.
for a few weeks and to image something on a regular basis to see it change.

Im not totaly sure how this would happen In reality. but I was just
wondering if
anyone else has done this?.
