Hello Everyone!I need some information on 80mm telescopes that have
been built at home.I just obtained an 80mm diameter achromat, focal length 900mm and will soon build such a scope.I've seen a few 80mm telescopes on the market, including one made by a company named GRAMPUS priced at $165.95 complete with equatorial mount tripod eyepieces and diagonal. It looks very similar to CELESTRON'S Firstscope 80,but my scope will be made from parts of an old 3"(76mm) refractor and will utilize a spiral wound focuser no rack & pinion. Thanks for your ideas and suggestions.Clear Skies,GB |
