I'm not sure they want to kill science, they just want to maximise their
profit from it which would suggest military applications only. I'm still
baffled by their desire to genetically engineer the smallpox virus so they
can inoculate their population against whatever they produce (perhaps they
just intend to inoculate a sub-population).
