I got the call, and my new AP160 will soon be here... WooHoo!
.... So I am parting with my FS 128 Tak, ATA hard case, and Tak' accessories. It is a sweet scope (vintage 1999) in very good condition with the objective tested and rated as "very well corrected" by D and G... but with the AP160 coming next month, I must make room! NO RESERVE, $3000 opening bid (replacement cost with the included accessories far exceeds twice that amount), auction ends tonight! (Continental US Only Please!) http://www.astromart.com/auctions/de...auction_id=665 BTW, one of my solar H-a images taken with this scope is featured as the July image in Sky and Telescope's 2005 Celestial Wonders Calendar (from this session ![]() http://www.astro-nut.com/sun-ha-08nov02.html Thanks for looking! Paul,
At the current price, one has a very early Xmas present and I am quite surprised at the lack of interest. Let's hope it really moves the final hour or whatever. Anthony. It should go higher, I'd guess a few people with a few extra bucks are waiting until the last minutes. Ed T. |

Is this a true fluorite doublet? Seems like a good price if it is so.
Does anyone have a link to the color error graph of this VS wavelength? G.B. |

Hi guys, Yep... it's the real-deal, Fraunhofer style Fluorite doublet. Here's a description of the FS128 design and general Fluorite color correction characteristic chart from OGS: http://www.opticalguidancesystems.com/t-fs.htm A beautiful scope (low mileage... only driven on Sundays... er, sunny days! ![]() use this as an interim scope until my larger AP155 arrived (remember those days, Anthony? g)... and now an AP160 is almost here.. WooHoo! Cheers, Paul --- http://www.astro-nut.com --- |

WooHoo! Do I remember those days?! I have had five years and three months worth of memories and I know your experience down memory lane is slightly longer than mine. However, what a way to address this incessant nightmare and living hell over Xmas with an AP160. Being slightly ahead of me in the notification list, I believe you will be receiving the new "toy" ahead of me and I kindly (beggingly) request for first light photos etc etc. I trust you contacted Coronado about adapter plates to hold the SM60/90 ???? Anthony. Cheers, Paul --- http://www.astro-nut.com --- |
