Default I'm BACK!

The Return:

Today we had winds and I didn't think I'd be
going out tonight. So i took a nap. Got up
at just before 5pm and the howing winds had died.

So I got everything and went up to my old place
again. I think that owner of the Foster Freeze put
up that replacement sign to detter me, as it's
about 3 times brighter than the old sign. HaHa,
not going to stop me at all.

Didn't have a lot of people stop, BUT, one group
told me something that blew my mind! Seems that on
the Lancaster UFH t.v. station, they had a short
deal telling the people, about 3 weeks ago about the
Sidewalk Astronomer of Rosamond being out there on
that corner. WOW! That's better PR than I could pay
for. Plus from what the guy said, they had a photo of
me too.

As the moon was up they got to see it, as did 2 or 3
kids that had stopped to look. The rest of the night
I put it on some stars. One man/woman came over, they
had seen me last when I was using my Stargazer Steve Dob
about 4 years go and as they where passing the area, pulled
in to see if I was around.

One boy scout stopped and talked while he mother gassed
up the car across the street.

All total I think I have about 10 people and got enough to
put 2gals of gas in the battlecar.

I pulled up everything by 8:30, I have not eaten and was
feeling it too, burning fuel I didn't have.

just as I was about to drive away, a gal in a car pulled
up and asked when I'd be there next, so I told her
Wensday night.

So, afer not being able to do anything all summer, it dose
look like I'll have people on the watch out for me once more.

You should see if the local news station can interview you.
I am rather surprised that they used your photo without your permission.

In addition I recommend that you contact Scott Roberts

so you can be added to the Astronomy Outreach Network:

As I said, it was the way the guy talked, as if they had a photo, but not
having seen it myself, ( my old t.v. ant only pulls in one UFH station
clearly and it's the barstow one ) I can only guess, they might have just
told about me, I am going to write them to find out.

Not to waste a good night, I've been out looking at Saturn tonight.
