I am new to Astronomy, and just bought my first telescope. It is an
Orion AstroView 6 EQ Reflector. I would appreciate anyones opinions on this scope. Thanks. |

It's a good choice for a first scope. There are other choices just as good but you did well. Now -- here's the bad news -- you need to spend some more money -- buy some more stuff -- Buy these books: -- "Turn Left at Orion" -- "The Backyard Astronomer" -- "Skywatching, " by David Levy Buy a planisphere, make certain it's for your latitude. Get a red LED flashlight. Get a 2X Barlow. -- ----- Joe S. |
