I was seeing orange coloration halfway through the partial phases, and a deep dark orange during totality. Also, lookit the photos some people have already posted. I'm afraid smoke was getting in your eyes. HL |

Good viewing then on till end of event. John, et al: In the Binghamton NY area it was mostly clear to the northeast of town. At Kopernik Observatory, where about 150+ people showed up, it was mostly cloudy until around 11, when it cleared. Near the end of the eclipse we started getting some ground fog.
