Default How does the expanding universe effect the Red Shift???

The galaxies are not accelerating away from each other by their own
force. The reality is the space between them is inflating, and that gives
the illusion they are blowing apart. Has to be very tricky to measure
the increase distance space is increasing between the galaxies(trying to
make a measurement relative to what?) The Doppler effect is
our measuring stick. How much redder is more reddening? Are we going to
end up with a red face(blushing) if we don't factor in space inflation
that is going on at a faster, and faster rate? Bert PS wish I knew
how fast the universe is expanding at this exact spacetime.

John Z Thanks for that site, but I still don't know how fast our
universe is inflating at this spacetime. Bert

Bert your post was interesting and made me think but I don't know if any
human being can answer that correctly.

Don't quite know what your after Bert???

The Hubble Constant describes how fast the Universe is expanding.

Hi LJ That is why I said inflating speed has no meaning unless the
Hubble red shift can calculate it. Man is so naive that he thinks he can
measure the universe inflating here on Earth so many billions of LY away
is a laugh. Best we use terms on measuring as Roughly,About, and
25% off or more. I think we might best bring in the quantum
uncertainty,as we use it for very tiny distances into the large far away
macro GR realm. Bert

Could the universe be to large to measure? Could it be finite, and still
to large? We can't say the Earth is at its center(very bad idea)
Should the universe be infinitely large, than every area could be
considered its center. Bert

Voices indecent by me clarified adn transfigured.

Inscrew the locks from the doors!
Unscrew the doors themselves from their jambs!

Whoever degrades another degrades me,
And whatever is done or said returns at last to me."
