It will be nice to see if the clouds in Belgium and Holland are as grey as
the ones in the UK !!

Hmmm - MetCheck in the UK is currently predicting 100% cloud and 12mm
of rain for Wednesday night/Thursday morning. If the weather carries
on like this then if it does clear, it'll be more of a case of how to
stabilise a telescope on a floating base!

Take that forecast with a pinch of salt - these were the people who have
predicted a severe winter for the UK.

95% chance of lousy weather come what may.

Shocked and stunned ;-)

MetCheck's forecast does tend to swing wildly on fairly short
timescales so I don't take it too seriously. If it were to be
believed for the next 2 weeks, my scopes would be up on AstroAds!

I find the BBC's IR shanpshot quite good for predicting clear slots.

What a pessimistic bunch - though I agree about Metcheck. The
credibility of their long range forecast was somewhat undermined by
their prediction of a cold snap last Tuesday. Or did the North of
England actually get one? Feels like spring down here.
Trouble is, it's a beautiful clear sky _right now_, which probably means
something nasty on the way.

Come on Grim - everyone has played Doom! There was an ultimate weapon
within the game. It was a gun called the BFG. Can't think what that
stood for though ;-)
