Default SkySensor 2000PC

Hi all

A friend is trying to make a cable for a SkySensor 2000PC and is having
trouble making it work. We've checked the wiring out and it seems to be
perfect. Having double, tripel checked it we've checked it again to be sure,
it looks perfect.

He's got the SkySensor in LX2000 Emulation mode. When the cable is plugged
in, it doesn't do anything.

Does anyone have any experience with these cables. Specifically for the
SkySensor 2000PC. I've already made a few for my Meade LX90, which work
fine.

I'm looking for some foolproof way of testing that

a. The cable is correct and
b. The SkySensor is working properly.

Oh yeah, We've got the pin outs of the cable, which make this all the more
confusing.

Hi:

Which program are you using on the computer end? Are you sure you've got com
ports, etc. correctly configured?

Hi Rod.

That's about the only thing I can be 100% certian about. We're trying to
connect to Skymap Pro 10 (Demo version) on my friends machine.
I know it works, as I've used SkyMap pro 10 Full version with my Meade LX90.
We've asked Chris Marriot (SkyMap Pro's author), and he tells us that the
Demo version will control the scope properly.

We're trying to get some comms between PC and the SkySensor going. At the
moment, all I'm interested in is getting something, anything. We just need
some sign of life.

Hi:

Just for giggles, you might try a different program. RTGUI is small and simple
and will output LX200 format commands.
