I read an article about the slooh project where you can "buy" mission time
to explore the universe... A great idea but doesn't you lose the idea of observing? I mean when you take a picture with slooh, doe you get the same satisfaction you get when you take a picture with your own telescope? For example: i saw a picture of M101 in ursa major. It was great and full of detail but when i go to google and look in the images on M101, i get the a lot of pictures of M101, wit hthe same detail so why would you buy mission time to look for something you already can find on the net? What fun do you get from it? When i take a picture with my 90mm refractor i jump a hole in the air when i get M13 and i see different stars. It can take a few hours but them i'm proud of it and with slooh it takes 10min and you get a brilliant picture but i can't imagine you get the same satisfaction from it... Anyone alse thinks the same way as i do? |
