Please keep posting your results - they are one of the reasons I enjoy reading this newsgroup. I actually like the satellite trails too - but I can see how they might get a bit frustrating. However, for an exercise in frustration you should try being up here in Glasgow with (a) the perma-cloud and (b) almost perma-daylight at this time of year. Bring on the dark nights I say! Monday night was a beauty though - very dry and nice steady conditions.
