Default HEQ-5 and EQ6 tripods

Does the tripod from a HEQ-5 or an EQ6 fit a standard EQ5 mount?

thanks

How serious is the question? I can go and measure the distance between
the alt/az adjusting stop and the central bolt on an eq6, plus
identify the thread, if you really want - but I suspect that eq6 and
heq5 are incompatible with everything. Stephen had an eq??? that had
nothing in common with an eq6 as I found out the hard way.

It was a serious question but I've had it answered now. I saw a tripod from
the EQ6 and one for the HEQ5 for sale very cheap and thought it would be a
great upgrade for my EQ5. Apparently, the hole in which the mount sits is
smaller so wont fit without an adapter of some sort. Since I dont own a
lathe, Ive given up on the idea.
Thanks for offering to help though.
