Default Venus and Moon this evening

What a beautiful sighting around 17:30 this evening. Looked out of my
windows for a clear blue sky with the light fading and to see Venus with a
crescent moon just below and with Earth shine.

Anybody else notice it and perhaps taken a photo?

Oh yes. I was walking on the North Downs at dusk (had intended to be
back earlier). Wasn't it just a beautiful sight.

and perhaps taken a photo?

Nope -- left camera at home. By the time we got home, it was behind the
hill and I felt too knackered to walk up it to photograph it in
Ashford's murk and skyglow.

Best,
Stephen

Yes, what a great sight, and for me one of those rare moments when the
kids weren't screaming, I had chance to look outside AND had the
camera handy :-)

Yes I caught it with my 4" refractor using eyepiece projection with a
Toucam Pro.
