Default another question on my digital camera and astro pics

Just a quickie

ive tried again tonight to take pictures of the moon by holding the camera
over the eyepiece and i cant get it anywhere near foucused .. now i know
that Phil who replied to my inital post said that the ricoh rdc-7 should be
ok for astro photos .. but my question is this .
As the camera hasnt got TTL metering or focusing how is it going to get a
correct exposure when the lens is pointed down the eyepiece
and the focusing sensor and exposure sensor is half an inch to the right .

getting a bit cheesed off now if its the camera i will change it ... but as
Phil also mentioned im into the hobby for 1600 quid .. and ive only been
looking at the sky
4 months

Many thanks again

Pete
