One problem with the scope is that the focus knob is "jerky" instead of smooth. making it impossible to focus and higher magnifications. Is there a way to smooth this? It is rack and pinion. Maybe powered graphite? Thanks for any help... jojo I'm not sure using graphite around a scope would be a good idea, although I may be wrong on that. I use a silicon lube like TriFlow on mine - just be very careful not to get it on the optics! A sticky focus mechanism might also indicate grit in the r&p. Might be worth cleaning it thoroughly.
