Its a great year for space events. These are the things I have waited for.
These are the things that
extend our minds.

Havent heard anything about the Mars rovers for quite some time.
Are they still operating? Whats the latest?

Yes, both are still operating. Spirit has reached the Columbia hills and is
finishing some investigations on some of the rocks there (it found Hematite
there). Opportunity has driven inside of Endurance crater, "ratting" holes in
rocks and doing extended analysis of the layers of materials in the walls and
upper floor of the crater. Check out the following URL for details:

Clear skies to you.

Rock Circles!
When they are discovered, I am certain there must be some debate among
the martians about the origin of these mysterious circles. Can they be
explained by some naturally occuring phenomena, or are they the work of
aliens? Perhaps some enterprising martians will come forward and
describe in detail how they were created, using materials commonly found
in a martian toolshed.
If there is a usenet equivalent on Mars, we have provided it with
rich fodder. ;-)
Regards,
Etok
