Some of my more offen used EP's are starting to get a bit in need of clean
ups, what with fingers, ladys eyelash's,etc. I've notice a bit of film starting to show up. In the past what little I needed to do I used camera lens wipes for it, mostly dust. But I'm thinking of distilled water and a single drop of dawn in a full pint. Think this would do ok? |

Is this normal, or did I just get a duff Lenspen? If it is normal, how do you remove the white residue? DaveL |

I never had this problem. Did you try brushing the lens with the other end of
the pen? Or was the residue "stuck" to the lens? Clear, Dark, Steady Skies! (And considerate neighbors!!!) |

It wasn't "stuck" to the lens, but I just guess it shouldn't be there. I used a blower brush to remove the residue, but I don't really want to have to clean my lenses after cleaning my lenses ![]() DaveL |

But what do you do with eyepiece lenses that are to small to use a
lenspen (i.e. 7mm ortho, etc.)? Eddie Hi: That would probably be OK. Just don't allow the liquid flow between the elements. I think an easier solution is a small Lenspen.
