What are some of the alternative sites to A*mart?
I hadn't been on in a few months and when I tried to login I got a message I was 'banned'. Asked why and was told that because I sell non-astronomy related items on Ebay that I should have to be a 'sponsor' of A*mart... Sorry, but I don't think it proper to blackmail people to pay for a hobbyist site. 99% of my activity on A*mart was limited to chatting in forums and looking at the classifieds, and only occassional classifieds. What else is out there besides this group? Any groups on Yahoo? Thanks for any info... Paul T |

Oh goody, another "I hate Herb" movie. These usually last a while, and you have time to go through two or three bags of popcorn. More action than Saturday night at the fights, and more fake than Friday night pro-wrestling. And maybe we'll get a Matinee bonus on grammer! g Clear Skies Chuck Taylor Do you observe the moon? Try http://groups.yahoo.com/group/lunar-observing/ And the Lunar Picture of the Day http://www.lpod.org/ ************************************ |

You can give www.astronomy-mall.com a try but the traffic there is minimal when compared to Astromart. Many folks contribute to Astromart who are not required to simply because they want to support something that they find useful. Jon |

Astronomy Mall, run by Mark Wagner, a very good guy. No fees, no hassle,
but it is much smaller than Astromart, so far. Bill Meyers Paul T wrote: What are some of the alternative sites to A*mart? I'll give that site a try.
Concerning Mr. York's post... Indeed please visit my website http://www.carolinaskies.com , you'll find items I've got, and you can be a better judge than he apparently is. And if the old A*mart was still up you would see that when I did list items I was pretty much listing hobby related items and not what you see listed on my site. BTW, I probably listed less than ten items for sale last year... big whoop! I suppose if you sell anything or work for a company that sells anything you best pay A*mart money according to the morays of A*mart. BTW, anyone notice Mr. York's quipiness? He wasn't decent enough to write me a conscientious note and ask for explanation, no... just be judge and jury and try the case in abscentia. The execution of the letter of the law should never exceed the mercy found in the spirit of the law, for if it does, the judgement of men shall always fail in that execution.... PT |
