Default Mobile Sky Chart -- Anyone use it?

Has anyone downloaded the Mobile Sky Chart from S&T:
http://skyandtelescope.com/observing...cle_1202_1.asp

What do you think of the app?

I downloaded it. Give it a pass. It starts up too slow, navigation is
a pain, and it doesn't show enough. Besides, on a phone, you'd expect
to have the thing automatically keep up with comet locations and the
like. I don't see that.

Maybe I'm missing some option I have to set. I'll sit back and see if
anyone else has anything to offer.

How useful is it if you live in, say Pensacola?

Within the U.S., if you give it a zip code, it will figure out your
coordinates. In that regard, it's fairly good.

Apologies, I should have put irony /irony markup tags.

Is it possible that I do not understand the meaning of the
word irony? (i.e., I still don't understand what you were
trying to say with your initial comment -- and yes, the
markup tags, I get that part; does the location have to
do with anything? We are talking about Pensacola, Florida?)

I know that explained jokes are usually not funny, but
I'm intrigued...

Probably less useful than if you're over here with me in Mobile. That _is_ what
they mean by "Mobile," right? ;-)

He was referring to MOBILE, ALABAMA, surely everybody knows about Mobile? You

But you are still going to have to explain it to those who have never been
to Pensacola and/or the geography impaired.

I am impressed that the header shows you to be in the UK.

Clear Skies,
Craig in Tampa
(somewhat geography impaired, but I HAVE been to Pensacola)
