Hey
I was hoping if someone could answer this question for me. I understand that apart from our planet the Earth, no other planet in out solar system witness a Total Solar Eclipse. My query is if someone could kindly answer is: Are there any other planets in our solar system that witness Total Lunar Eclipses. And if not what are the special charecteristics of our planet and moon that results in us seeing a total lunar eclipse. For instance the only reason we can see a Total solar eclipse is to do with the fact that the sun just happens to be 400 times bigger then the moon and 400 times further away from the moon, and also because the sun and moon are one of the most spherical objects in the our solar system. Sorry if I've waffled on a bit here. Thanks Raz ![]() |
