Rec'd my complimentary copy of Night Sky magazine yesterday. After months of
hunting faint fuzzies I found it really refreshing to be reminded of my
early days (7 years ago for me) of naked-eye stargazing. While the info is
really basic, I think it's a great magazine even for advanced amateurs.
Would I subscribe? Probably not, but I've got a funny feeling that I'll pick
it up at the newsstand!

I agree that it is a great first issue. I too was reminded of my early
days, but I also found out a couple of things that I thought I knew, I knew
wrong. Nothing shattering, just a reminder to me that probably most of us
have some "Basic Concept" about life in general, astronomy in specific that
is not quite correct. Or maybe I'm the only person here that doesn't
understand the world around me all that well.

I'm going to subscribe for at least a year to see how it develops.

Best of luck to Sky Publishing with this new magazine.

I got one too. I'm impressed. It's sort of a "Sky & Tel Lite" -- very
much like S&T but aimed at beginners. I have a young friend in my
Astronomy club and I'm thinking of getting him a subscription.
