Default Religion & Science Are Incompatible

Religion is the creation of man to placate his fear of the unknown. An
all-powerful God and ever-lasting heaven exists only the imaginations
of those without the courage to face the universe on its own terms.

Science makes no claims to know all the answers and is open to changes
upon presentation of new evidence. Religion claims to know all without
any supporting evidence. Thus, science and religion are incompatible.

Any scientist or engineer that is religious can never reach his
maximum potential. At some point he will abandon reason and embrace
the superstition of religion.

When I threw off the shackles that Catholicism had bound me with, for
the first time I could explore, question, experiment about how things
really work. I am a better thinker, a better engineer, a better human
being as a result of this.
