Default Which astro program for Mac OS X? (long)

Need advice on planetarium type software for Panther.

I used Voyager for years; really liked it. Then there were the debacles
of years long promised upgrades that didn't materialize, buggy software
when they finally came out, etc. I'm up to v. 3.2.4 which has worked
fine but runs in Classic. I now want to run purely in OS X.

The upgrade to OS X is $60 or so. Has Carina Software fixed the many
remaining problems (see old s.a.a. posts for my and others' reviews)?

Should I upgrade or would you advise that I switch to another program,
e.g. Equinox, SkyChart, Starry Night, The Sky or ?

(Another program, Observer, doesn't seem to be available in OS X, at
least the demo was a classic application.)

Look forward to hearing what people like and don't like.
