I was sitting in a truck-stop bar just outside the Holland Tunnel in
N.J. about twenty something or more years ago .(I was trying not to have lunch with someone I worked with.) Quite a few guys were talking baseball. A few were eating pickled green eggs (ewww). A man with a Middle Eastern accent chimed in on their conversation commenting "Ohh, and foo-ball too." The Indian bartender just smiled with his gold capped teeth shining brightly and laughed.. "Oh,ho, ho, ho, ho! you silly Americans." Beer shot out of my nose. So..there you have it. I am a silly American and definitely not typical. While you're on your break, FrankieBob, perhaps you can tell me what is a `typical American'? I've never met one. |
