Default increasing 2.5x Televue Powermate to 3x??

Just purchased a 2.5x Televue Powermate. Is there any way to increase the
amplification to 3x? I see on the Televue website that increasing distance
with this barlow actually decreases amplification. There are times though
that I would like 3x so if anyone can help, I'd appreciate your response.

John,

I don't think it's possible.

With barlows you can increase the magnification
by using an extension tube and inserting the eye
piece into that. Don't know if the Televue Power-
mates work the same way or not. You could just
hold the eye piece out away a bit from the end of
the Powermate and see if that increases the power.
