I was using my new Tele Vue 76 quite a bit during the daytime this
weekend. Checking out the mountains, some birding, and following airplanes across the sky. It's a great scope and just the right size to carry around when mounted on tripod. But i'm finding the Tele Vue screw-in lens cover cumbersome. It's heavy to carry in my pocket when using the scope, and i have to first retract the lens shade and take time to screw it on to cover the lens. (And take time to unscrew and extend lens shade when i want to view.) Does anyone know of a flip-up (or flip-down) lens cover that could be used with the lens shade extended? Or maybe a source for light weight removable lens caps that would fit over the lens shade? -Florian|at|stargazing|dot|com |

Florian; go to the B&H Photo website and search "hood hats". They are stretch
fit neoprene lens covers that are used with camera lenses. i am sure there is one that fits the TV 76. Joe |
